RESUMEN: El presente trabajo de grado propone una metodología para el refuerzo del puente Guarne 2, ubicado en la autopista Medellín-Bogotá, un enlace vital para la región. Se aborda el problema de las fallas estructurales provocadas por el desgaste y las crecientes cargas de tráfico. La investigación incluye la recopilación de datos históricos, el análisis de modelos estructurales mediante software especializado, y la evaluación de alternativas de refuerzo. Se propone un enfoque integral que considera la seguridad, la durabilidad y la funcionalidad del puente. Además, se elabora un cronograma de actividades y un presupuesto detallado para la implementación de las medidas propuestas. La metodología presentada busca mitigar los riesgos asociados con el deterioro estructural y asegurar la continuidad de los servicios que el puente ofrece a la comunidad y al sector industrial de la región.

ABSTRACT: This degree work proposes a methodology for the reinforcement of the Guarne 2 bridge, located on the Medellín-Bogotá highway, a vital link for the region. It addresses the problem of structural failures caused by wear and increasing traffic loads. The research includes the collection of historical data, the analysis of structural models using specialized software, and the evaluation of reinforcement alternatives. A comprehensive approach is proposed that considers the safety, durability and functionality of the bridge. In addition, a schedule of activities and a detailed budget for the implementation of the proposed measures are prepared. The methodology presented seeks to mitigate the risks associated with structural deterioration and ensure the continuity of the services that the bridge offers to the community and the industrial sector of the region.
